Frequently asked questions
Is a heated bed necessary for printing Smart3DPT PLA?
It is not mandatory but recommended for better adhesion. Bed above 45°C, glass or PEI surface. Extrusion temperature: 185–200°C (classic) or 200–240°C (high-speed), fan at 100%.
What is the difference between PLA and Smart3DPT Matte PLA?
The Smart3DPT PLA has a standard glossy finish and comes in 15 colours. The Matte PLA has a non-reflective matte surface and comes in 6 colours. The mechanical properties and printing parameters are similar.
Is Smart3DPT PLA suitable for an educational context?
Yes, it is one of the best options for education. Its low odor, ease of printing without an enclosed chamber, and wide range of colors make it ideal for schools and users with no prior experience.
How should I store Smart3DPT PLA filament?
Store in an airtight bag with desiccant in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. PLA is hygroscopic — humidity causes bubbles and irregularities during printing.
