💡 Recommendations

  • To maximize thermal and mechanical resistance, anneal at 110°C for 15 minutes after printing.
  • Optional drying before printing: 4 to 6 hours at 55°C. During printing, maintain at 55°C (optional).
  • For better bed adhesion, use adhesive spray or glue when necessary.

Is an enclosed chamber necessary to print Cosmic PLA?

No. Temperature: 205–220°C (classic) or 220–240°C (high speed). Bed above 45°C, glass or PEI surface, fan at 100%.

Can annealing cause deformation in parts?

Annealing can cause slight shrinkage or warping. It is recommended to plan tolerances with a margin and to place the parts on a flat surface during the process to minimise deformation.

How should I store Cosmic PLA filament?

Store in an airtight bag with desiccant in a dry place. Moisture absorption can affect extrusion quality and reduce the benefits of the annealing process.
