🌟 PLA-CF 1.75mm Filament – Subink

Subink's 1.75mm PLA-CF Filament combines the ease of printing of PLA with the rigidity, low thermal expansion, and matte finish characteristic of carbon fiber. The result is a high-performance composite material with a visually sophisticated appearance — ideal for functional parts, engineering prototypes, and structural components that require greater rigidity and dimensional precision than standard PLA, with a premium look without the need for post-processing.

🔹 Why choose Subink PLA-CF Filament?

  • High strength and rigidity — superior to standard PLA thanks to carbon fiber reinforcement.
  • Low thermal expansion — greater dimensional stability in environments with temperature variations.
  • Matte finish with carbon fiber texture — premium and professional appearance.
  • Excellent layer adhesion — precise and structurally sound prints.
  • Easier to print than ABS or technical materials — no enclosed chamber required.
  • Compatible with 1.75 mm FDM 3D printers such as Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, Anycubic, Elegoo, Artillery, Flashforge, and FLSUN.
  • Diameter: 1.75 mm ± 0.03 mm | Net weight: 1 kg

✅ Advantages of PLA-CF 1.75mm

  • Greater rigidity and strength than standard PLA.
  • Sophisticated matte finish without additional post-processing.
  • Excellent for technical parts and engineering prototypes.
  • More affordable and easier to print than other carbon fiber composites.

⚙️ Recommended Printing Parameters

  • Extrusion temperature: 190 – 230 °C
  • Heated bed: 50 – 70 °C
  • Fan: on
  • Speed: 40 – 50 mm/s

💡 Recommendations

  • Hardened steel nozzle is mandatory — carbon fiber is abrasive and quickly wears out brass nozzles.
  • Perfect for functional parts, engineering prototypes, structural components, and decorative objects.
  • Store in a dry place to maintain print quality.
  • For better bed adhesion, use PEI, glass, or 3DLAC surfaces.

Frequently asked questions

Is it mandatory to use a hardened steel nozzle for PLA CF?

Yes. PLA CF is abrasive and quickly damages brass nozzles. A hardened steel nozzle of 0.4mm or larger is recommended for prolonged printing without premature wear.

Is a closed chamber needed to print PLA CF?

Not mandatory. Recommended temperature: 190–230°C, bed at 50–70°C. Lower speeds (40–50 mm/s) and fan switched on improve layer adhesion.

Is PLA CF more brittle than standard PLA in terms of impact?

PLA CF has higher rigidity but can be slightly more brittle when impacted perpendicular to the layers. For high-impact applications, PETG or ABS are more suitable.

How should I store PLA CF filament?

Store in an airtight bag with desiccant in a dry place. PLA CF is sensitive to moisture — absorption affects extrusion quality and can cause surface irregularities.
