🌟 PLA-CF 1.75mm Filament – Bambu Lab
Bambu Lab's PLA-CF 1.75mm Filament is a carbon fiber reinforced PLA that combines the characteristic ease of printing of PLA with significantly improved mechanical properties. With a matte finish and almost invisible layer lines, AMS compatible without clogging at high speed, and with low shrinkage and warping resistance, it is ideal for engineering parts, structural components, and models that require greater rigidity and a premium look — without sacrificing the ease of printing of conventional PLA. Includes an RFID tag for automatic parameter reading via AMS.
🔹 Why choose Bambu Lab PLA-CF Filament?
- Mechanical properties much superior to Matte PLA — XY bending strength up to 67% higher, XY bending modulus up to 57% higher, and impact resistance up to 20% higher.
- Matte finish with almost invisible layer lines — premium appearance without post-processing.
- Low shrinkage and warping resistance — high dimensional accuracy and perfect fit between parts.
- AMS compatible — high-speed printing without clogs, combinable with any PLA series filament.
- Easy-to-remove support — designed to be self-supporting, with a smooth support surface after removal.
- Integrated RFID tag — parameters automatically read by AMS, no manual configuration.
- Compatible with 1.75 mm FDM 3D printers such as Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, Anycubic, Elegoo, Artillery, Flashforge, and FLSUN.
- Diameter: 1.75 mm ± 0.03 mm | Net weight: 1 kg
✅ Advantages of PLA-CF 1.75mm
- Much stiffer and stronger than standard PLA or Matte PLA.
- Sophisticated matte finish without additional post-processing.
- Easy to print — behaves similarly to conventional PLA.
- AMS compatible for multi-color printing with complementary materials.
⚙️ Recommended Printing Parameters
- Maximum speed: 200 mm/s
- Recommended print surface: Cool Plate, High Temperature Plate or Textured PEI Plate
- Hotend: hardened steel nozzle required (0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm)
- Glue: Bambu Liquid Glue or glue stick when necessary
Physical and Mechanical Properties:
- Density: 1.22 g/cm³ | Melting temperature: 165°C | HDT (0.45 MPa): 55°C
- Tensile strength: 38 ± 4 MPa | Bending strength: 89 ± 4 MPa
- Bending modulus: 3950 ± 190 MPa | Impact resistance: 23.2 ± 3.7 kJ/m²
💡 Recommendations
- Hardened steel nozzle required — carbon fiber is abrasive and quickly damages brass or stainless steel nozzles.
- Optional but recommended drying: 55°C for 8 hours in a rapid drying oven, or 75°C for 12 hours on the heated bed of the printer.
