🌟 PETG – SMARTPRINT

PETG SMARTPRINT is a technical filament that combines the ease of printing of PLA with the mechanical and thermal resistance of ABS. Developed to offer high durability, excellent layer adhesion, and chemical resistance, it is ideal for functional parts, mechanical components, advanced prototyping, and professional applications.

🔹 What distinguishes PETG SMARTPRINT?

  • High impact resistance and excellent controlled flexibility.
  • Great durability — ideal for functional parts and continuous use.
  • Excellent layer adhesion for greater structural robustness.
  • Good chemical and thermal resistance compared to PLA.
  • Compatible with 1.75 mm FDM printers, including Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, Anycubic, Elegoo, Artillery, Flashforge, and FLSUN.
  • Diameter: 1.75 mm ± 0.03 mm | Net weight: 1 kg

✅ Advantages

  • Resistant and durable material for demanding applications.
  • Less warping compared to ABS.
  • Excellent finish with a slight sheen characteristic of PETG.
  • Ideal for technical supports, outdoor parts, and functional components.

⚙️ Recommended Printing Parameters

  • Extrusion temperature: 220 – 250 °C
  • Heated bed: 70 – 90 °C
  • Layer fan: low to moderate
  • Recommended speed: up to 120 mm/s

💡 Notes and Recommendations

  • Suitable for functional, mechanical parts, and outdoor use.
  • Store in a dry place protected from humidity.
  • For better adhesion and to avoid excessive sticking, the use of 3DLAC or PEI surfaces is recommended.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between PETG and PLA?

PETG is more resistant to impact, temperature, and moisture than PLA, making it ideal for functional parts. However, it requires higher printing temperatures (230–250 °C) and is more prone to stringing.

Does PETG need to be dried before use?

Yes, PETG absorbs moisture easily. It is recommended to dry it at 65 °C for 4 to 6 hours before printing, especially if the spool has been exposed to the environment.

What is the delivery time to mainland Portugal?

Orders for mainland Portugal have an estimated delivery time of 2 to 4 business days after payment confirmation. Shipments to islands and the rest of Europe have different lead times.

How to avoid stringing in PETG?

Reduce the print temperature, increase retraction and travel speed without extrusion. PEI and 3DLAC surfaces help with adhesion without over-fixing.
