🌟 PETG 1.75mm Filament – smart3dpt

Smart3DPT's 1.75mm PETG Filament combines the best of both worlds: the ease of printing similar to PLA with the mechanical, chemical, and impact resistance of ABS. With high transparency and gloss, excellent resistance to acids, bases, alcohols, and oils, good thermal and UV resistance, and low shrinkage, it's a versatile choice for functional parts, technical prototypes, and outdoor applications requiring durability and a refined visual result.

🔹 Why choose Smart3DPT PETG Filament?

  • Easy to print — similar ease to PLA, no enclosed chamber needed.
  • Excellent chemical resistance — withstands acids, bases, alcohols, and oils.
  • Good impact resistance — tougher than PLA, less brittle under stress.
  • Good thermal and UV resistance — suitable for outdoor functional applications.
  • Low shrinkage and good layer adhesion — precise, warp-free prints.
  • High transparency and gloss — refined visual finish without post-processing.
  • Compatible with 1.75mm FDM 3D printers such as Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, Anycubic, Elegoo, Artillery, Flashforge, and FLSUN.
  • Diameter: 1.75 mm ± 0.03 mm | Net weight: 1 kg

✅ Advantages of 1.75mm PETG

  • More resistant and durable than PLA.
  • Easy to print without an enclosed chamber.
  • Ideal for functional parts, prototypes, and outdoor applications.
  • Good chemical resistance for demanding environments.

⚙️ Recommended Printing Parameters

  • Extrusion temperature: 235 – 250 °C (classic printers) | 235 – 260 °C (high-speed printers)
  • Heated bed: > 70 °C | Surface: glass or PEI
  • Fan: 0 – 35%
  • Layer height: 0.08 – 0.2 mm
  • Speed: 20 – 100 mm/s (classic) | 100 – 250 mm/s (high speed, at 260°C)
  • Maximum volumetric speed: 16 mm³/s

💡 Recommendations

  • Dry the filament before printing: 4 to 6 hours at 60°C. During printing, maintain at 60°C (optional).
  • PETG is hygroscopic — store in a dry place with desiccant to maintain print quality.
  • For better bed adhesion, use adhesive spray or glue when necessary.

Frequently asked questions

Is Smart3DPT PETG suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. Good UV, chemical, and moisture resistance make PETG suitable for outdoor use or humid environments, with much superior performance to PLA under these conditions.

Is an enclosed chamber necessary to print PETG?

No. Temperature: 235–250°C (classic) or 235–260°C (high speed). Bed above 70°C, glass or PEI surface, fan between 0 and 35%.

What's the main difference between PETG and Smart3DPT PLA?

PETG is more resistant to heat, impact, and chemicals than PLA, but it is slightly more demanding to print. PLA is ideal for beginners; PETG for functional parts with higher requirements.

How should I store Smart3DPT PETG filament?

Store in an airtight bag with desiccant in a dry place. PETG is moderately hygroscopic — moisture absorption causes stringing and bubbles during printing.
