Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between PETG and PLA?
PETG is more resistant to impact, temperature, and moisture than PLA, making it ideal for functional parts. However, it requires higher printing temperatures (230–250 °C) and is more prone to stringing.
Does PETG need to be dried before use?
Yes, PETG absorbs moisture easily. It is recommended to dry it at 65 °C for 4 to 6 hours before printing, especially if the spool has been exposed to the environment.
What is the delivery time to mainland Portugal?
Orders for mainland Portugal have an estimated delivery time of 2 to 4 business days after payment confirmation. Shipments to islands and the rest of Europe have different lead times.
How to avoid stringing in PETG?
Reduce the print temperature, increase retraction and travel speed without extrusion. PEI and 3DLAC surfaces help with adhesion without over-fixing.
