🔧 PETG – Filament 3D

Filament 3D PETG is a versatile filament that combines the ease of printing of PLA with the mechanical and thermal resistance of ABS. It is ideal for functional parts, prototypes, supports, utensils, and everyday components.

🔹 What makes PETG special?

  • High mechanical resistance — more robust than conventional PLA.
  • Good thermal resistance — withstands higher temperatures.
  • Excellent layer adhesion — results in stronger and more durable parts.
  • Low shrinkage — reduces the risk of warping on open printers.
  • Fully compatible with 1.75 mm FDM printers, including Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, Elegoo, Anycubic, Artillery, Flashforge, and FLSUN.
  • Diameter: 1.75 mm ± 0.03 mm
  • Net weight: 1kg

✅ Advantages

  • Balance between durability and ease of printing.
  • Ideal for functional parts, prototypes, and mechanical use parts.
  • Good resistance to impacts and bending.
  • Does not release strong odors during printing.

⚙️ Printing Parameters

  • Extrusion temperature: 230 – 250 °C
  • Heated bed: 70 – 90 °C
  • Layer fan: 30 – 60% (depending on the part)
  • Speed: 40 – 80 mm/s

💡 Notes and Recommendations

  • Store in a dry place — PETG is sensitive to humidity.
  • Dry before use to avoid bubbles or imperfections.
  • Recommended for technical and functional parts that require greater durability.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between PETG and PLA?

PETG is more resistant to impact, temperature, and moisture than PLA, making it ideal for functional parts. However, it requires higher printing temperatures (230–250 °C) and is more prone to stringing.

Does PETG need to be dried before use?

Yes, PETG absorbs moisture easily. It is recommended to dry it at 65 °C for 4 to 6 hours before printing, especially if the spool has been exposed to the environment.

What is the delivery time for mainland Portugal?

Orders to mainland Portugal have an estimated delivery time of 2 to 4 working days after payment confirmation. Shipments to islands and other European countries have different delivery times.

How to prevent PETG stringing?

Reduce the print temperature, increase retraction and travel speed without extrusion. PEI and 3DLAC surfaces help with adhesion without over-fixing.
