🌟 Powder-Coated Textured Print Sheet – Prusa (MK3 / MK4)
The Powder-Coated Textured Print Sheet is Prusa's double-sided spring steel sheet with a powder-coated textured PEI coating, compatible with MK3, MK3S, MK3S+, MK3.5, MK3.5S, MK3.9, MK3.9S, MK4, and MK4S printers. Extremely resistant to mechanical damage, it transfers a characteristic texture to the base of printed parts, eliminates the need for glue stick for PETG, and allows for automatic removal of parts after cooling. This is the same sheet used in Prusa's print farm.
🔹 What distinguishes the Prusa Powder-Coated Textured Sheet?
- Powder coating over metal — extremely resistant to mechanical damage; the metal dissipates heat in case of nozzle collision with the surface.
- Characteristic texture transferred to the base of parts — professional and uniform appearance on all prints.
- Hides mechanical damage — only the top of small bumps can be scratched, without impacting printed parts.
- No need for glue stick for PETG — natural adhesion without additional preparation.
- Automatic removal after cooling — parts release themselves when the sheet cools down.
- More forgiving Z-adjust — greater tolerance in first layer calibration compared to the smooth sheet.
- Double-sided — two printing surfaces for greater durability and lifespan.
- Magnetic attachment to the MK52 bed — immediate fit and removal.
✅ Advantages
- Almost indestructible surface — resists tools, spatulas, and nozzle impacts.
- No glue stick for PETG — direct printing without preparation.
- Automatic part removal after cooling — effortless and tool-free.
- Uniform and professional texture on the base of all parts.

💡 Notes and Recommendations
- ⚠️ Never clean with acetone — it causes micro-cracks in the textured PEI coating, deteriorating the surface over time. Use IPA for cleaning.
- For PLA with small contact area — use brim for better adhesion.
- For PLA with a very large base — warping may occur; consider a closed chamber or enclosure.
- If you also use the smooth PEI sheet, you will need to readjust Live Adjust Z when switching between sheets.
- Consumable part — wear of the coating over time is normal and expected.
