Frequently asked questions
Which Prusa printers is this E3D High Flow 0.6 mm nozzle compatible with?
Compatible with Prusa MK4, MK4S, MK3.9, MK3.9S, XL, CORE One, CORE One+, and CORE One L. Not compatible with MK3.5, MK3.5S, MK3S+, MK3, MK2.5S, MK2.5, MINI, MINI+, MMU3, SL1S, HT90, or INDX.
What is 4-internal-channel geometry and what is its practical advantage?
The 4-channel geometry divides the filament into 4 parallel flows, increasing the contact area with the melt zone. The result is a significantly higher volumetric flow rate — the filament melts faster and at higher speeds without under-extrusion.
Is this E3D High Flow nozzle suitable for abrasive filaments such as CF or GF?
No. For abrasive filaments such as PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PA-CF, or glass fibre composites, use the hardened steel nozzle, sold separately. This is a brass nozzle and will wear quickly with abrasive materials.
Do I need to change settings in the slicer when using the E3D High Flow nozzle?
Yes. The higher volumetric flow rate allows for higher speeds—adjust max volumetric speed in PrusaSlicer to take advantage of the nozzle. Refer to the repair manual at help.prusa3d.com for guidance.
